Heat shrinkable cable head

In the shielding process of the cable, since the number of semiconductor layers removed is large, there is no electromagnetic shielding between the three phases of the cable head, and in this case, phase discharge is likely to occur. Finally, regarding the mechanical properties of shrinkage materials, heat-shrinkable materials have great advantages in this respect, completely wrapping the core. The only drawback is that the heat-shrinkable material has a relatively small elasticity and is easily broken.

The cold-shrink cable head also has four characteristics. Like the heat-shrinkable cable head, it is the maturity, grounding and shrinking process, the treatment of the shielding layer, and the mechanical properties of the shrinking material. This aspect of maturity has developed rapidly in recent years, but the cost is relatively high in actual use, and the service life is very short, generally only 1 to 2 years. For the grounding and shrinking process, the cold-shrink cable head is not required to be welded, and is directly fixed by a spring steel clip. The shrinkage of the insulating layer is elastic shrinkage, and it is not necessary to use fire soldering, which greatly reduces the influence of the temperature control work on the insulating layer. In the treatment process on the shielding layer, the insulation layer removed by the cold-shrinking cable head is relatively small, and there is electromagnetic shielding between the three phases of the cable head, but the creepage distance to the ground is relatively small. In the case of a single phase, the insulation of the inner insulation layer is shorter than that of the heat-shrinkable cable head. The shrinkage material has better elasticity, less wrinkles, and is less prone to cracking when subjected to a collision.
