Zhan Yiren, director of the Institute of Electronic Optoelectronics of the Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute, analyzed in the “Industry and Industry Association Conference” a Seminar on “Development Trends of the Semiconductor Industry” that due to the fact that the expertise of the semiconductor industry in Taiwan is too scattered, how will the future be in mobile devices or mobile devices? In the past, the integration of the system will be the biggest challenge for the semiconductor industry in Taiwan. "The challenge that I think is that in the future, for example, TSMC has always hoped to get orders for the Apple A6 CPU, but the order will still go to Samsung. The problem is that Taiwan is too focused on a certain technology. For example, Samsung has foundry CPU DRAM and Flash, but these technologies are spread across different companies in Taiwan, so there is a great deal of effort in integration."

Zhan Yiren also suggested that in addition to industries that can make more efforts to "integrate", the government can also promote related strategies. He said: "There is no need to integrate companies into one entity, but the density of integration should be closer, especially from the terminal. The application products go upstream and some level of government should come out to do this.”

Zhan Yiren stressed that Taiwan's upstream parts and systems manufacturers must be closely integrated, so that the industry can effectively cascade and strengthen the power of the industry chain.

3. SCSI occupies a very low CPU, so it has obvious advantages in multitask system. Since the SCSI card itself has a CPU, it can handle all the transactions of SCSI devices. When the host CPU sends work instructions to the SCSI card, the SCSI card will work by itself. After the work is finished, the work results will be returned to the CPU. In the whole process, the CPU can carry out its own work.

4. The SCSI device is also intelligent. The SCSI card can queue CPU instructions by itself, which improves the work efficiency. In multitasking, the hard disk will be in the current head position, and the adjacent tasks will be completed first and then processed one by one.

5. The fastest SCSI bus has a bandwidth of 160MB / s, which requires the use of a 64 bit 66MHz PCI slot. Therefore, the maximum speed that can be achieved in the PCI-X bus standard is 80mb / s. if it is used with a dedicated hard disk with 10000rpm or 15000rpm, it will bring obvious performance improvement.
