The number of pins required is much more, so the CPU pin count has an increasing trend in general, and it can basically be considered that the CPU with many pins has a more advanced architecture. However, everything is not absolute. For example, AMD used Socket 754 instead of Socket 754 on mobile platforms, but its pin count was reduced from 754 to 638.
