The CP2129 is a PWM-mode high efficiency boost converter based on current feedback. It operates at a frequency of 1.1MHz, allowing the use of small-volume switching inductors and output capacitors with low output ripple and low interference. The CP2129 easily sets the output current through an external feedback resistor, while supporting multiple dimming modes, especially for a wide range of PWM dimming.
In particular, the CP2129 has an output open circuit protection function that detects abnormalities in the open circuit of the load and provides protection. Once the load is open, the chip will be placed in a safe, low-power mode, which avoids drawing large currents from the power supply and also prevents component damage due to output overvoltage.
The CP2129 also adopts a specially designed switch drive architecture, which can effectively reduce external EMI interference, especially reduce the radiation interference generated by the backlight FPC connected at the output end of the chip, and reduce the impact on the mobile phone RF circuit when the backlight works.
The CP2129 is rated for operation from -40°C to +85°C and is available in a SOT23-6L package measuring only 1mm in height and is RoHS compliant.
