[High-tech LED News] Philips Lighting of the Netherlands has announced that it will release office and residential lighting such as straight-tube LED lights and LED bulbs to the Japanese market. Lighting for plant cultivation and agricultural equipment will be released this fall.

For straight-tube LEDs, Philips will introduce a "MASTERLEDtube" designed to replace 40W fluorescent lamps with a length of 1200mm. The product includes two colors of color temperature 4000K and 6500K. The rated power is 22W, the total luminous flux is 1650lm, the beam angle is 140 degrees, the average color rendering index (Ra) is 85, and the lifetime is 40,000 hours (the beam maintenance rate is 70%).

According to Philips Electronics Japan, MASTER LEDtube can reduce power consumption by 48% compared to 60 FLR fluorescent lamps. Although the initial cost is higher than that of the FLR fluorescent lamp, the MASTER LEDtube becomes cheaper after 3.88 years because the power consumption can be suppressed.

Philips said that in addition to the above two products, it will also be available in lengths of 580mm and color temperature of 5000K. In terms of MASTER LEDtube, the target is to supply 300,000 in the Japanese market in 2011 and 1 million in 2012.

In addition, Philips will also launch 5 LED bulbs "LED myVision" products, including two 20W incandescent bulbs (color temperature 2700K and 6500K, total luminous flux of 250lm, power consumption is 5W), the market price of 2000 days The brightness is equivalent to two 30W incandescent bulbs (color temperature is 2700K and 6500K, total luminous flux is 350lm, power consumption is 7W), the market price is about 2500 yen; and the brightness is equivalent to a 40W incandescent bulb (The color temperature is 6500K, the total luminous flux is 600lm, and the power consumption is 9W), and the market price is about 3,000 yen. These 5 products are equipped with E26 type lamp sockets. The beam angle is 180 degrees. Delivery is scheduled for fall 2011.

According to reports, the LED bulb adopts the Remote Phosphor technology, which means that the fluorescent material of the converted wavelength is separately arranged from the LED as the light source to achieve uniform illumination. The LED bulbs are arranged with a plurality of blue LEDs on the same plane, and then covered with a hemispherical diffusing plate containing a yellow fluorescent material (the diffusing plate is also covered with a hemispherical cover). Light from a plurality of blue LEDs is mixed and irradiated onto the fluorescent material to obtain light that is not dazzling.

Philips Electronics Japan said it plans to launch a beam angle of up to 310 degrees to the Japanese market by the end of 2011.
