Thailand's Badwater Retires Local PCB Factory to Grab Taiwan's Equipment Reset Line

Thailand's floods hit the local PCB industry, and manufacturers are rekindling their production lines. It is understood that during the TPCA Show in Thailand, the largest PCB manufacturer in Thailand, a number of high-level executives came to Taiwan to actively negotiate machines, including exposure machines and laminating machines. According to equipment manufacturers, KCE is very positive and hopes to deliver it as soon as possible. KCE took the opportunity to replace the old machine and rebuild a high-end production line.

Since many Thai manufacturers installed the production line on the first floor, the entire production line was flooded and destroyed in this wave of flooding. Once the equipment is flooded, it cannot be used anymore, and new equipment is bound to be added. Taking PCB as an example, key process equipment such as exposure and laminating machines must be completely replaced.

Although the bad water in Thailand did not retreat, and a few days ago when the Taiwan circuit board exhibition was held, many senior executives from KCE, the largest PCB factory in Thailand, had visited the venue to inspect the machine platform. The difference between this time KCE's approach to Taiwan and the search for equipment is that in the past, engineers simply looked like they wouldn’t be able to place orders, but this time it was decided by high-level executives who had the right to decide. Satisfactory for the period, the two parties signed the contract immediately on the site, and the equipment manufacturers will also try to meet the needs of KCE and shorten the delivery period as much as possible.

According to equipment manufacturers, KCE had a long stop in front of the Zhisheng booth on the afternoon of the 10th. Zhisheng's UVE-A250 inner/outer double-sided exposure machine was a brand-new model for the first time. This was the venue's debut. One of the focal points is that the outer layer uses double-side exposure and double-side exposure at one time.

According to equipment manufacturers, KCE's production lines in Thailand are mostly medium-sized and old equipment. KCE will then replace old ones and upgrade the machines to build high-end production lines.

The equipment manufacturer pointed out that the floods in Thailand have indeed received requests from customers for supply information. It is understood that some customers plan to relocate the equipment needed for the 2012 expansion to the affected area in order to be able to return to work earlier. The area was first installed, and the time for pulling the goods was also advanced.

In the past, many Japanese manufacturers set up factories in Thailand. Therefore, related equipment is mostly dominated by Japanese equipment factories. Taiwan equipment manufacturers mainly supply Taiwanese manufacturers. However, after the floods, it was tantamount to letting Taiwan's equipment manufacturers have new opportunities, and the equipment factory's market share in Thailand had another wave of reshuffle.
