Therefore, the development speed of OLED TV is difficult to predict, depending on how the screen supplier balances input and output. TCL Group believes that OLED is most likely to become a substitute for the original TN and LCD in the small and medium display field. But it has to replace LCD in the field of color TV, at least five to eight years, LCD has a ten-year industrial cycle. This year, Huaxing Optoelectronics 8.5-generation LCD line will be mass-produced as soon as possible, and a 4.5-generation OLED pilot line will be launched.
Skyworth Group pointed out that in the future, flat panel TV display technology has two directions: one is OLED, which is still subject to cost and yield, and the other is 3860×1960 pixel HD LCD TV. Skyworth will be listed in the fourth quarter of this year. OLED TVs are estimated to be launched by local manufacturers in the fourth quarter. The next year is the promotion period, and the real harvest period will be two years later. According to reports, Skyworth has cooperated with South China University of Technology in Guangzhou to manufacture small-size OLED screens. In the pilot stage, it has been produced in small batches.
In addition to color TVs, mobile phones produced in Guangdong account for half of global production, and there is also a huge potential demand for OLED screens. Samsung's Galaxy mobile phone occupies the high-end market of smart phones by virtue of its monopoly advantage of OLED screen.
