Emerson Process Management adds a new rugged pH sensor, Rosemount, to the company's existing Universal pH product line. Analytical's new RB sensor has the best sensor life and is specifically designed for applications requiring cleaning.

Due to the poisoning of the reference electrode's liquid junction, the pH sensor can easily fail. The new RB sensor has a patented multiple liquid junction, which prevents the liquid junction poisoning of the reference electrode. This design is very successful in resisting the corrosion of sulphides in washing applications. The RB sensor's unique multiple liquid junction reference chamber design extends the durability of the sensor. In addition, the sensor uses a chemical-resistant Kynar material, which further extends the life of the sensor.

The RB sensor can be simply reassembled by inserting it into the titanium high-pressure sheath, thereby reducing the replacement cost and transportation cost of the sensor.
