Facebook lays guns, 200 million U.S. satellites are gone

According to the evening news on September 1, SpaceX's rocket exploded before the launch. The incident directly led to the complete destruction of Facebook’s first Internet communications satellite worth 200 million U.S. dollars.

It is reported that local incidents occurred Thursday morning when the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket exploded before the launch of the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. A direct explosion, the surrounding people said that the earthquake was strong and lasted for several minutes. However, SpaceX stated that no staff was working on the platform at that time, so the explosion did not cause casualties.

However, SpaceX subsequently confirmed that the rocket carried the Facebook Amos-6 satellite has been completely destroyed. It is reported that the Amos-6 satellite weighs about 5 tons and costs as much as 200 million U.S. dollars. Originally, the satellite will launch the "Falcon 9" rocket at 1:33 pm on Greenwich this Saturday to provide Internet services to parts of the sub-Saharan Africa.

This is definitely bad news for Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who had just said in his visit to Nigeria yesterday that this week it will launch the first Internet satellite to support Internet services in the African region.

After the explosion, Zuckerberg expressed disappointment with the accident in his personal Facebook account. He said: "At the moment I am in Africa. The failure of SpaceX to launch and destroy our satellites is a source of great disappointment to me. This satellite was originally intended to provide Internet connectivity for many entrepreneurs and everyone else in Africa."

The reason why he wants to provide internet services via satellites is Zuckerberg's own Facebook page. “If you want to connect people living in remote areas, relying on traditional network connection facilities will be very difficult and inefficient. Therefore, We need to develop new technologies."

In addition to the satellite, Facebook is still exploring the provision of convenient Internet services through the Aquila drone. As a solar-powered drone, Aquila will create a 50-kilometer-a-day communication in 90-day time at a height of 60,000 feet to 90,000 feet (approximately 18,000 to 27,000 meters) in the stratosphere. The range, data signals will be converted to WiFi or LTE networks for users to use through the ground signal tower. Facebook said it will eventually launch 10,000 Aquila drones.

Flex Coiled Cable Assembly

The TPU materials type raw cable jacket can guarantee longer lifetime and quality. Coiled cable can be used to carry electrical currents as well as data and signal for telecommunications applications. This versatility makes coil cords ideal for use in environments that are often too rough for non-coiled cable.

It has the ability to extend beyond the natural length at rest, which can be a real space-saving feature. These cords are flexible beyond simple extending and retracting in that they can also be pulled, bent, and twisted without experiencing the metal fatigue of a straight cable.
