According to an interview with the Economic Information Daily, Li Xuliang, chairman of Qinshang Optoelectronics, believes that this means that the semiconductor (LED) lighting industry will usher in a new round of policies.

The above notice clarified that in order to encourage LED lighting demonstration applications and guide the healthy and orderly development of the LED lighting industry, the Department of Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Science and Technology jointly commissioned the China National Electronics Import and Export Corporation to subsidize 2012 financial promotion of LED lighting The products are subject to domestic open tendering to determine the promotion of high-efficiency lighting products, product specifications, and agreement supply prices.

Li Xuliang said that with the subsidy, the product's price/performance ratio will be further improved and it will further stimulate consumer demand. The LED lighting market is expected to accelerate and the domestic LED industry will maintain steady growth in the next few years. After many years of accumulation and construction, Qinshang Optoelectronics has formed one of the largest semiconductor lighting product R&D and production bases in Asia, and is the only company listed on the main board with high-power LED semiconductor lighting as its main business and domestic LED lighting application camp so far. The largest listed company will undoubtedly benefit from this policy.

According to reports, in recent years, the country has issued a number of policies to support LED development. For example, last year the National Development and Reform Commission announced the "China's Phase-out Incandescent Lamp Circuit Diagram (Draft for Soliciting Opinions)", which is intended to prohibit the sale and import of incandescent lamps for general lighting. Industry insiders believe that alternative lighting caused by similar support policies will create huge market demand for energy-saving lamps and LEDs. According to media reports, the person in charge of the relevant departments of the National Development and Reform Commission once said that during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period, the LED industry is expected to achieve a quadrupling target. The industry generally estimates that it is more optimistic. It is estimated that by 2015, the penetration rate of outdoor LED lighting in China will reach 60%-80%, the penetration rate of indoor and commercial LED lighting will reach 25%-30%, and the penetration rate of indoor home LED lighting will be about 5%-10%. The overall penetration rate of LED lighting in the Chinese market will reach even more than 20%.
