Every night, at the beginning of the Hua Deng, nearly 50,000 street lights and landscape lights will make Huizhou City look charming. The lighting landscape is more energy-saving and environmentally friendly in terms of lamp selection and light source configuration while dressing up the city night sky. By using energy-saving products such as LED lighting, Huizhou City saves electricity costs by four to five million annually.

Wu Zhongyu, deputy director of the Huizhou Public Utilities Bureau Office, said that in order to save energy and protect the environment, the city has made various attempts in public lighting energy conservation. It saves a lot of electricity every year.

In recent years, with the rise of LED lighting products, all the public lighting systems in Huizhou City have adopted LED lighting for landscape lighting. Road lighting is also piloting LED lighting. A total of 10 roads in Yunshan West Road and some branches of the urban area in Jiangbei are being piloted with high-power LED lighting. According to Zhai Zhongyu, compared with ordinary energy-saving lamps, the comprehensive energy-saving efficiency of LED lighting can reach 40-50%. Once the LED lighting technology is mature, the city will fully implement the use of LED road lighting.
