Instrument Systems GmbH, a test and measurement company based in Munich, Germany, achieved its best results in the 2009/2010 fiscal year from its establishment in 1986. The company's profit increased by 47.1% over the previous year, reaching 10.3 million euros, compared with only 700 euros in the last fiscal year 2008/2009. The company's founder and president, Richard Distl, said that the reason for this rapid growth is due to the application of LED backlights for LCD TVs and the widespread use of LED technology in general lighting. In addition to its good performance in the field of LED measurement, Instrument System says that all large companies in the automotive and aerospace industries use their equipment when testing their vehicle interiors or cockpit lighting and display components. Instrument Systems' products are designed and produced in Munich, and 82% of the company's sales come from overseas markets. “We are proud of such a gratifying achievement and the hard work of our employees,†Distl said. “We hope to continue this growth track in this fiscal year and double our sales to 20 million Euros. We are committed to making customers Trust our work." Instrument System pushes the spectrometer of the 1000th CAS 140CT series In related news, Instrument System has promoted its 1000th CAS 140CT series of Array Spectrometers, which are used to test LEDs and other displays, and are also used to perform spectrum analysis tasks. Featuring high-performance detector equipment plus optical and electronic components, the seven CAS140 CT models cover the spectral range from 200nm to 2160nm. In combination with optimized control electronics, this technology allows accurate acquisition and evaluation of spectra in the millisecond range. This product can be applied in both R&D and production settings. Instrument System says its array spectrometer is widely used by renowned LED manufacturers, photometric laboratories, automotive industry and handset manufacturers.
