Enter the regedit after the Win+R key combination, enter the registry editor, navigate to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\VolumeCaches\Thumbnail Cache

Change the numeric value of the DWORD (32-bit) value on the right side named Autorun to 0.

Then navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\VolumeCaches\Thumbnail Cache

Change the numerical value of Autorun at this position to 0.
