Abstract : Leap MoTIon's foldaway user interface brings new developments to the AR workspace

Leap MoTIon's North StarAR program is coming out in the coming months, and the US-based manual tracking sensor manufacturer has officially begun to explore AR and has made various design concepts.

In a series of posts posted on Leap MoTIon's official Twitter account, it can be seen that the company provides an "AR office" behind the scenes to peek into the user interface. Using a series of interactive windows, users can build their ideal AR workspace where they can control the interface with their own two hands.

On the basis of a short video, move your hand to a white thin stick on the edge of the table and you will find a collapsible window, then you can move to whatever you want. Included floating in midair, all from Leap MoTIon's deep tracking technology, it can also be laid flat on your desk.

Leap Motion said on Twitter: "When we are excited to share the hardware behind our AR work tools, but the most important thing is the user experience. In the next few weeks, we will post blog posts and videos to record us. Progress, I hope that the discussion about it will bring us the next direction of development."

Our research work in the AR direction is very early, there are many steps from model to product. Considering that we don't plan to release our own products at the moment, we are very interested in inclusive design. Equally impressive is the tracking of the AR window. Every display seems to have a satisfactory density, and the user control experience is very real.

Leap Motion's upcoming North StarAR kit has a 100-degree field of view, low latency and high resolution, all packaged at less than $100.
