Philips launches Hue Beyond dual-illumination smart LED luminaire

Philips has added a new member to its Hue family of smart lights. Hue Beyond is a unique dual-light smart luminaire with three modes of ceiling lights, chandeliers and table lamps. The color tone of the fixture can be adjusted remotely by the device.

Unlike other Hue family products, Hue Beyond builds two sets of light bulbs, each of which can be independently adjusted to apply lighting to different scenes.


As shown in the figure of Hue Beyond intelligent luminaire, it consists of two bowl-shaped hoods, the upper part is made of aluminum metal and the bottom is made of glass. The lamp set provides a total brightness of 1200 lumens and a service life of 15,000 hours.

In daily use, there are a set of light bulbs in each of the two covers, which can respectively produce different atmospheres of illumination. For example, during daily reading, you can adjust the lower part of the light bulb to produce white illumination for reading, while the upper part of the light can be adjusted to color to change the background atmosphere of the room. In addition, the user can use a certain color of the luminaire as a reminder that the luminaire supports the IFTTT conditional triggered notification service to generate different colors to alert.

The dome and chandelier versions of Hue Beyond are priced at €530/£500, while the table lamp-style Hue Beyond is priced at €330/£300; it is now available in the UK and continental Europe. There is currently no sales time and price information for this product in the US.
